I was testing my application and got a phone with this weird option: whenever you had to type the only option was speak-to-text. In settings for language and input only text-to-speech was valid. I already was thinking to hardware reset the phone.
I was at the end of my wits when after scanning the web someone mentioned to install a keyboard application from Google Store. The only option was to pronounce “keyboard” in Google Store and pick the keyboard app I liked. It did fix my problem.
