To whom does it matter the software integration ?
To your clients…
when they already have a system in place and you linchpin your solution. You are the underdog and have to deal with a long established business having a longer relationship than you with your future client. Not a best role to be, with a lot of effort – you are the first to carry the blame if the integration is not working.
To your references …
Once you have one integration you can run after the customers of the software you integrated and tout the benefits of the merge solution (only sales efforts, not development costs).
To your future customers requiring integration …
you proved you did it several times and become a hub instead of o spoke. Depending of the value perceived by your customers you can capture more than the solution you are selling, you may advice your customer and have a say in how others can use your solution.
